I could sum up my life with a few simple things
I’d put into a sack along with some bling
A doobie for when I just want to get high
A shoulder to lean on, when I want to cry
A playboy when I need to release some stress
And a Kleenex for me to clean up the mess
A couple books to enlighten my mind
For me to read over until I go blind
A hot boom-box so’s I can blast all mah rhymes
As I recall my home, and all those good times
And maybe a pen when I feel inspired
And of course some paper, that’s just required
I would need something to defend my stuff
So I’d take along a smile, that’d sure be enough
And now that there’s no room in my sack
I’d give a small sigh and sling it over my back
And as I drifted away I’d shed one last tear
As I remember... I forgot the damn beer! |
